I need to sell this horse. I have too many and pay board on all of them. She is great horse but she likes to jump and I like flatwork. She is being wasted with me. On the other hand, when someone buys her they will know she is finished on the flat.
Joy is a delight to ride and work around with the potential to win in Hunter classes both in the ApHC world and on the A rated hunters. She has a big, daisy cutting trot and a lovely, 3 beat ground covering canter. She has a natural head set for hunters and an elegant look to her. She is kind and easy to ride, moving nicely forward from your leg but very responsive to the bit. She has a good form over fences and loves to jump. She has shown and won in both open schooling shows-dressage classes and over fences. Her dressage scores were always in the 60%'s and she got 7 and 8's for her gaits. Recently I showed at a fancy hunter Show, and Joy clocked around the courses like and an old pro. She pinned in every class even though she was up aganinst horses and riders that had been competing at hunters for a long time. She even gave me a flying lead change unasked for. She was a queit easy ride, all I had to do was ride a little and point her at the jump. She has also shown Recognized Dressage Show this spring and was awarded scores in the low 60%'s in 3 out of 4 classes, at both Training Level and low First Level. In her over fences classes she is honest and straight to her jumps, always clean and a easy, fun ride. I have used her in lessons occasionally and she takes care of her riders, I can stop her with the word whoa if I need to. She has trail ridden, I have loaned her to friends that needed a solid horse on the trail and she did the job, and I have even taken her fox hunting recently and she was a good girl there too. She is also trained western with a solid neck rein on her. Her head carriage is naturally low so it is easy for her. It would only take a little extra training to push her either for Western Pleasure or Reining though she would enjoy the reining better and that is what her conformation is built for. Joy is perfect for a junior or amatuer who wants to win at Hunters, Hunters Under saddle, or for someone who wants to a little of everything.
